Growing up, my favorite memories were performing in the living room with my younger brother. Being his sister was one of the greatest joys of my life. When he passed away, I shifted my career to TV and film as a way to honor him—by telling the kinds of stories I know he would have loved.

He used to call me “Mena,” a nickname that has since become a cherished term of endearment in my family. Now, with every film I create, I send him a love letter—signed, Your Sister Mena.
